It all started with an idea. But after completing the Neurotech Collider Lab’s Transforming Brain Health with Neurotech course, SimpleCell is making impressive strides as a startup. Recently, SimpleCell won second place in The Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology’s “all-star showcase,” which spotlights the best of the next generation of student-founded startups.

As a company, SimpleCell offers a cutting-edge low-code bioinformatics platform that supports biologists by simplifying data analysis and management tasks.

Now, SimpleCell has raised its pre-seed and joined Forum Ventures Accelerator program in their June Cohort. Forum Ventures’ B2B SaaS accelerator program is crafted to accelerate the growth of early-stage startups rapidly by acting as their fractional co-founder. Emphasizing early go-to-market strategies and fundraising, they enable founders to attain significant customer traction.

“Much gratitude to my family, friends, and mentors who have been us from the beginning,” SimpleCell co-founder Arvind Vivekanandan posted on LinkedIn. “Huge shoutout to our advisor Gail Christine Gannon and the rest of the team from Neurotech Collider Lab for their support!”

“Teaching entrepreneurship is an exhilarating journey, as I witness the remarkable evolution of students’ mindsets,” said Gannon. “They take their visionary ideas and shape them into novel neurotech ventures. Guiding them through the intricate process of innovation—from initial conception to full execution—and watching their confidence soar as they tackle real-world challenges is profoundly inspiring. It has been an amazing privilege to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation of trailblazers and change-makers. Together, we are cultivating a future brimming with innovation by empathetic and thoughtful leaders.”
